Florida offers warm weather, and, therefore, spending your holiday or vacation there is priceless. New Yorkers come here just to relax and enjoy the ocean and go to Disney parks with their families. But increasingly, our customers from New York are moving to other cities in Florida, such as Orlando, Miami, Jacksonville, and Tampa. Some of them move to Key West for a laid-back lifestyle. The increasing number of people from New York requires us to provide moving services from NYC to Florida.

Movers from NYC to FloridaWhatโ€™s good about the Sunshine State?

You will love having cheaper housing with income tax and more living space as you move to Florida, especially from places like Brooklyn. There are many cheaper places, such as Jacksonville, Orlando, West Palm Beach, Key West. It is not only the beautiful weather that attracts customers to buy houses in Florida. There is a different lifestyle compared to Manhattan. People do not run around, but actually enjoy the weather and the ability to swim in the ocean in summer in Florida. On the other hand, it is more humid in Florida than ever across all the states. Once you go outside, it will be incredibly hot, and you will sweat immediately, but in winter, during the rest of the year, it will be wonderful. So, what are you waiting for? Now is the time to find your perfect place in Florida. Once you have found a nice place to live and got your new home, you can start looking for reliable moving companies from NYC to FL.

What are the best places to live in Florida?

Boca Raton or Coral Gabes

It depends on where you want to move and how frequently you want to go to the ocean. One of the best places to move to is not Miami, but Boca Raton or Coral Gables, which are both very close to Miami. They are not as urban as Manhattan, so they offer a more relaxed lifestyle, but they are still close enough to the city for those who want to be close to it without having to deal with traffic every morning. Boca Raton has a wealthy neighborhood that is close to Miami’s downtown area, so it’s convenient to commute to work there, but traffic can be bad in other areas. It takes an hour to drive to your office from Boca, but on the bright side, housing is great and if you’re used to New York’s traffic, you’ll find it normal.

West Palm

If you are considering relocating to West Palm Beach from New York, we recommend this location because it has a relaxed lifestyle with no traffic. If you work from home, it would be a great place to live. The drive from West Palm to Miami takes about an hour and a half, which isn’t bad, but it’s still a bit far. However, the amenities offered are great, including sunny beaches, fewer crowds, and less traffic, so if you’re working from home, then this is the best place for you.

Sunny Isles

The City of Sunny Isles Beach is like a little Moscow in the whole of Florida. If you are looking for an amazing place to live, only 30 minutes from Miami, we would recommend this location. You can live on the beach. It will be the last line so you can watch the ocean in the morning, and every day if you want to, because there are high-rise buildings that look straight at the ocean, like Trump Tower and the Ritz-Carlton Hotel.

Key West

If you are retiring or looking to move away from busy city life, then you should consider moving to a place that is further away. We recommend moving from New York City to Key West or Vero Beach if you are looking for a quiet place to retire and enjoy the great weather, amazing beaches, and older communities. You can choose these places, and you won’t be disappointed. Many people who are moving from New York are coming to Florida to check out the towns where they will live, and this is the top list. Based on our experience, we can recommend these places. If you like them, you should find a way to move from New York and settle in Florida.

Movers from NYC to FloridaMoving company from New York to Florida

At Born To Move, we understand that finding a good moving company can be difficult, especially if you have to look for a local moving company instead of a broker. A moving company should have friendly movers who don’t break your stuff. They should be employees of the company you hire, not third parties. We strongly encourage you not to contact brokers, and if you do, ask them whether they broke your stuff or not. They should answer honestly, because brokers just sell your leads to other companies, such as big moving providers that don’t care about your belongings and getting them to the destination on time. All they care about is getting your money, or they’ll keep your things hostage. That’s why we recommend hiring a local New York-based moving company, which will get you to Florida on time without any mix-ups or damage along the way. Finding a professional local moving company isn’t difficult, but you need to do some research and choose a few companies you like, then find the one that charges a reasonable fee.

Moving process

At Born To Move, we have narrowed our process down to a few simple steps. First, you need to register on the Born To Move website. Then, you must provide basic information such as the date of the move, the size of the shipment, and a list of items. Based on this information, our moving representative will provide you with a flat rate for your move. You can also get quotes from other moving companies in New York and Florida to compare prices. If you like our estimate and want to proceed, just call us! We will send you a confirmation email without a deposit. This means that there is no cancellation fee. You can always cancel your reservation for free.

On the moving date

On the moving day, our professional moving company will arrive at the time and date that you require. The driver will call you to confirm that we are on our way to your location. Once you have met our moving crew, please let them know which items are going, such as all the furniture, all boxes, and all miscellaneous items in the garage and basement! Show them everything, including bathroom items and items in the closet! After that, you can provide more information about fragile items, such as furniture or boxes that need special instructions, such as being fragile or loose, and can break. Provide more details about any furniture that needs to be transported! Then, you will need to sign a contract at a flat rate that you have received from our moving representative. Our movers will begin bringing items to the truck, and once they are loaded, we will start driving towards the next destination in Florida.

Payment methods

For all interstate moves, you can pay the Born To Move’s professionals with a certified check or cash. We don’t accept personal checks, so you’ll need to give half of the payment to the movers when they finish loading, and the other half when we unload at your new house. Credit cards have a 3.5% processing fee.

How much does it cost to move from New York to Florida?

Most moving companies will provide a separate truck with a crew to pick up your stuff in New York and unload it in Florida. The average price is around $6,000-$7,000, including expenses such as the truck, movers’ fees, taxes, and fuel costs. You don’t have to pay extra unless your inventory changes. If so, your flat rate may be lower than the original estimate. If you have a smaller load, piggyback moves will be charged at $2,500 per one-way move to Florida.

How long is it going to take to move my stuff to Florida?

From start to finish, it will take about four days for us to move you to your new place. This is because it will take one day to load your belongings, which will be longer because we need to prepare your stuff for transportation by wrapping and protecting your items with moving blankets. On average, loading will take between 4 and 8 hours. Two days will be spent driving to Florida, depending on where you’re going. It will take approximately 20 hours to reach South Florida. The last day will be used to unload the belongings, and this process will take less time than loading, on average between 3 and 6 hours.

Delivery date

On the delivery date, expect Born To Move to arrive at the time and date you requested, because we will have enough time to get your things to Florida. Driving 20 hours is not as bad as you think, so please expect us to arrive on time. When the unloading date arrives, show the moving company where you want your things to be placed. The dresser – what do you need to be assembled? The bed – where do you wish to place it? The couch – where would you like it to go? If you have labeled the boxes, the movers can take them to the designated room, or you can direct them to the entrance, where your boxes and furniture are going to be placed after everything has been moved in.

Protection of your move

Please take a look at your stuff! Make sure that your stuff has arrived in one piece and without breaking! If that’s the case, then yes, you can definitely communicate with movers about their payment of damages. If you have any questions or concerns about your move from New York to Florida, call your moving representative! We’ll go through the claims process. We want to make sure that your belongings are safe and sound. That is why we always wrap furniture with thick blankets and shrink wrap. Your mattress will be covered with mattress covers, and your couch will be wrapped with shrink wrap. This is what we do to protect your furniture and prevent it from being damaged along the journey. At Born To Move, we offer not just wrapping and protection, but also friendly movers from New York who can help you every step of the way on your journey. So, why should you wait?
